Upcoming Activities

Saturday May 19th 12 PM to 9 PM: Quad Stake Day at COSI/Picnic/Outdoor Games! Check out the Quad Stake Activities page for more details! Or click HERE if you are ready to register. 

 

IMPORTANT DETAILS FOR SATURDAY'S COSI ACTIVITY!!! PLEASE READ!!! 

 

-COSI is located at 333 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio in the downtown area. It is located on the riverfront across from Veterans Memorial. You can't miss it! 

-Parking at COSI is $5 per car and is CASH ONLY, so please come prepared! 
-We will meet in the COSI lobby starting at 11:30 AM. Our scheduled check in time is 12 NOON. (Remember, COSI does not run on Mormon Standard Time, so please be on time!) If you know you are coming but cannot be there by noon, please let me know before Saturday so I can hold a ticket for you/make plans to meet up with you when you arrive. 
-When you arrive, please look for Amy (she'll be in a red Ohio State Newark tee shirt) or Sister Donna Lister (in a pink Tecumseh! tee shirt). 
-If you've never been to COSI before, it is HUGE so you will do A LOT of walking. Comfortable footwear is a must! 
-Cost per YSA is $10. This ticket covers entry into all the Classic Exhibits plus admission to Adventure. (You can read more about the Classic Exhibits and Adventure at COSI's website, www.cosi.org.) 
-Our group has two scheduled times for Adventure (12:30 PM and 1:00 PM.) The rest of the exhibits you are free to explore on your timetable. COSI is open until 5 PM on Saturdays. 
-In addition to COSI, we are having a picnic at the Columbus Ohio East Stake center (5835 Central College Road, New Albany, Ohio)  from 5 to 9 PM. We'll have plenty of food, so all you need to bring is your appetite! We will be outside in the pavilion. It's projected to be 85 degrees and sunny, so it should be a gorgeous day for outdoor play! (In the off chance that it does rain, the picnic will be moved inside to the gym.) Directions from COSI to the stake center can be found here: http://www.mapquest.com/#b6610e97d6c97d419088fac5
-There is a lot of green space at the stake center, so we'll have lots of room for outdoor games. We're bringing cornhole and ultimate frisbee. Feel free to bring any other games you'd like to enjoy. 
Lastly, we ordered extra tickets so if you have friends that want to come who didn't get the chance to register online, BRING THEM! We want as many people to enjoy this event as possible.

Monday May 28th: Annual Memorial Day Picnic! Final times and location TBA. 
Saturday June 30th (tentative): South Stake YSA canoe trip. YSA from all stakes will be invited. More details TBA! 
July 28th: Quad Stake Road Trip to Kirtland! Join us for a tour of Historic Kirtland and a special workshop with "Mr. Kirtland," Karl Anderson! Brother Anderson has recently written a book on Christ's appearances in the Kirtland area and is one of the foremost experts on the history of Kirtland. More details TBA!
